Take part in a pumpkin carving competition for Halloween at Fortnum and Mason, and stock up on a range of sweet treats that all ages can enjoy.

Pumpkin carving competition
Pumpkin lanterns are an integral part of All Hallow's Eve, and all ages have the chance to take part in a pumpkin carving competition this Halloween at Fortnum and Mason. Kids aged 10 and under can take part in the children's competition from 3pm - 5pm on Friday 28th October, while everyone over the age of 11 can take part in the adult competition from 6pm - 8pm.

Prizes to be won
The winner of the children's pumpkin carving competition will win a crate of Splendid Sweets, while the champion from the adult's competition will win a coveted £1,000 Fortnum and Mason hamper, filled with all manner of delicious treats.

Trick or treat?
If you want some suitably spooky treats for Halloween at Fortnum and Mason, then you can splash out on chocolate skulls or stock up on ghoulish sweets such as bloody eyeballs, exploding toads, witches' fingers or Dracula's dentures. You can also buy seasonal hampers, while foodies can enjoy a range of special seasonal menus at The Fountain, The St James's, The Parlour, 1707 Wine Bar and the Gallery.

More special events
Other special events taking place in the run up to Halloween at Fortnum and Mason include the Hot as Hades event from 6pm on Wednesday 26th October, where the Chilli Company will be hosting a sauce tasting and cooking demonstration. From 2pm on Thursday 27th October, the demonstration kitchen will be taken over by all manner of ghouls, wizards, witches, ghosts and gremlins, who will be appaling their audience with a demonstration of their favourite dishes, from finger pies to wormcakes.

The pumpkin carving competitions for Halloween at Fortnum and Mason takes place from 3pm - 5pm and 6pm - 8pm, Friday 28th October 2011. For more information and to reserve your place in the contest, call 0845 602 5694.
