Take your little monsters along to an afternoon of ghost themed activities this Halloween at King Edward Memorial Park, when the popular Tower Hamlets park hosts a special event for kids and families.

Halloween for kids
With face painting, a bouncy castle and plenty of arts and crafts workshops, there should be plenty to keep all ages happy this Halloween. King Edward Memorial Park will be playing host to a variety of spooky costumed characters, and children are encouraged to enter into the spirit of things by coming in fancy dress.

Art workshops
Kids can let their creativity run riot at the Halloween at King Edward Memorial Park art workshops, which give them the chance to make their own spooky hats, lanterns and recycled Halloween decorations. The 20ft tall Mr Recycled More will be on hand to give everyone advice on how to go green and use recycled objects in your Halloween decorations.

Interactive fun
Other events taking place for Halloween at King Edward Memorial Park include storytelling with the spooky Jack O'Lantern, and a Web of Wonder tree based art installation. Children can also play with the Freaky Monkeys and enter the Halloween costume competition at 6.30pm.

Nightmare finale
To wrap everything up, the Halloween event culminates in the Nightmare in the Park event, which takes the form of a dramatic performance featuring a selection of strange and spooky characters. Throughout the day, arts company Emergency Exit Arts will be providing a suitably eerie atmosphere throughout the park with costumed characters and gruesome creations.

The Halloween at King Edward Memorial Park event takes place from 3.30pm - 7pm, Monday 31st October 2011. The workshops run from 3.30pm - 6.30pm, and the Nightmare in the Park finale starts at 6.45pm. Admission is free.
