Summer day out
Famed for its natural feel, the open air Hampstead Pond is in the heart of the lush green Hampstead Heath, making it a perfect opportunity to bring out the picnic basket after your swim. The freshwater swimming pond dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries, when it was part of a reservoir system suppling water to Londoners.

The ponds
Hampstead Pond is located within close proximity to Highgate Pond, which only caters for men, and Kenwood Ladies Pond. All of the lidos are bound be popular with hardy swimmers over the summer months, with some dedicated souls taking to the water throughout the year.

Open daily from 7am throughout the summer, Hamstead Pond should be a major destination for competent swimmers. Children under 8 are not allowed and under 16's accompanied with an adult must pass a swimming test.

Admission is £2.00 per session, or £1.00 with concessions.
