Welcoming Father Christmas back into his grotto, the Harrods Christmas Parade signals the start of a magical festive season at the world famous department store. With a series of fantastic characters and of course, the jolly red fat man himself, kids and family will be delighted by the 2011 Harrods Christmas Parade.

Tying in with the store's Crystal Christmas theme, this year’s Harrods Christmas Parade celebrates the 103rd appearance of Father Christmas at Harrods for the festive period. Taking up his annual residence in the grotto, he will arrive in grand style as part of the spectacular parade which also includes real life reindeers, giant teddy bears, street dancers and plenty of shimmer and sparkle.

A number of popular Christmas characters will be marching alongside Santa Claus to add an extra touch of magic and sparkle to the Harrods Christmas Parade. Sure to enchant both children and family and get them in the mood for Christmas 2011, the parade is an extra special event as it welcomes Father Christmas back to the Harrods grotto experience for the 103rd year in a row.

After the parade has finished, Father Christmas will be whisked up to his grotto to get ready for Christmas and welcoming hundreds of children. Giving the old man a treat for the winter season, Harrods has created another festive grotto for Father Christmas to spend the run up to Christmas in. A fantastic treat for kids of all ages, the Harrods grotto is the ultimate in seasonal fun.

The Harrods Christmas Parade starts at 8am, Saturday 5th November 2011 and proceeds along Basil Street and Hans Crescent before moving inside the store. Admission is free.
