Harrods

It’s the most wonderful time of the year again – the Harrods January sale is back once more. London’s most famous store is once again offering amazing bargains on their finest products, from food to furniture and everything in-between. It’s the perfect way to treat yourself to some post-Christmas gifts – after all, you were very good this year.

Celebrity opening
Glamorous celebrity guests who have cut the ribbon and officially opened the Harrods January sale in years gone by include the actress and Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden. This year Florence and the Machine will be performing live before presiding over the grand opening, so get up early to make sure you're at the front of the queue for the musical dose of celebrity glitter.

Bargains galore
There will be discounts galore at the Harrods January sale, and the products are definitely worth it. This is one of the UK’s most exclusive retailers, and even though there will be discounts of around 60 percent off, it still might be just a bit expensive. Make sure you save up some of your hard earned Christmas bonus, and if you’re really hardcore you’ll camp out in front of the stores like some professional sales shoppers are known to do.

A Harrods history
Harrods first opened up in 1849 and quickly established a reputation for excellence. From humble beginnings as a grocer in East London to a million dollar group that influences the style and shopping of the entire world, there’s no doubt that Harrods is one of the world’s most famous stores. It’s a favourite of celebrities, tourists and Knightsbridge locals as well as Londoners who stop by to attend an event or splurge on a gift.

Post-Christmas shopping
There’s no better way to reward yourself for getting through another Christmas season than by treating yourself to something nice for a lower price at a Christmas sale. The Harrods January sale is also a perfect opportunity to pick up a gift or two for those friends and relatives you didn’t get a chance to see during the Christmas season – they’ll never know you bought it for half off.

The Harrods January sale starts at 9am, Tuesday 27th December 2011 and runs throughout January 2012, until stocks last. Nearest tube: Knightsbridge.
