This bar used to be really cool and had a great atmosphere, however I must judge the review of this bar over the last few years. The bar staff only seem interested in serving cocktails as that's where they think the tips are. A few times I have had to ask the staff to top the pint up, at the prices they charge I will ask. The food is expensive and very average. The only good points are if you wanna watch sports here and the music is quite good.

We recently booked Apartment 195 for our wedding reception. Wow! What a fantastic night that was put on for us. We kicked off around 6pm to be greeted by name at the door by the doorman and manager on duty. After our champagne and canapé reception we went on to do a really fun cocktail class where myself, my husband, and our guests each took turn in making 3 cocktails. We found the bartenders provided to be very knowledgeable and friendly throwing in some banter to keep the laughs up.We then continued on to our 3 course meal which was very reasonable price wise. The food all came out in good time and was all of a very good quality. Again the staffs were great and got everything set up for after our meal whilst we were eating. After we finished our meal the music came on and we kicked promptly into party mode. It was a good that we could plug our Ipod in to their sound system and run our own playlists all night. All in all we had an amazing night and would definitely look first to booking Apartment 195 for any future functions. Thanks again to the staff and management for making our night so memorable.

Terrible service. The guy who seated us promised us a waitress would be with us soon twice. After fifteen minutes I went up and tried to ask a member of staff if I could order. She acknowledged my greeting by turning and talking to another girl before going back to ignoring me. After another ten minutes waiting for the thrice promised waitress we walked out having not even ordered a drink. Just don't bother. The garden at the back looks inviting but it's just filled with little grottos where the rude staff can ignore you more easily

We went to watch the England Rugby match last weekend and would recommend this place to anyone.
Upbeat, friendly American bar/diner with a great food menu to suit all needs with dishes such as Burgers, Nachos, Ribs, Steaks and plenty of cocktails to choose from.
It had a great atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. Accommodated the kids well too, with a kids menu, high chairs etc.
And the party looked like it was really taking off from 7pm onwards, only wished we didn't have to get the kids home to bed or we would've stayed all night!

Great staff, great food, great cocktails ! A random bite to eat (yummy burgers) and a quick drink (well, a Cherry Zombie or two or three...) after work, turned into a bit of a session at Henry J Beans.
Upbeat music and friendly staff to boot. Will definitely be returning to try more of their cocktail menu next time!

Extremely disappointed.
Used have great food and drinks with great personal service.
Now it is owned by a big chain the drinks are watered down and tasteless with no skill required for the once great cocktails they delivered.
Food is so bad. I am a vegetarian and they gave me steak. My other friends said their food was chewy and bland with a processed taste.
The manager was rude and had a blaze attitude about his customers.
Gave it quite a few chances as I was fond of this place but enough is enough.

An American bar that doesn't even serve any American beer.

A home away from home. I went to Henry J Beans for a casual saturday afternoon and found myself there for hours. I went especially for some big american food and was pleasantly surprised. The ribs were some of the best i've found in london and the portion size was huge. But as we tucked into our food and ordered some cocktails we couldn't tear ourselves away. We got absorbed in the hockey game showing at the moment and kept trying difficult cocktails from their selection. Service was great, relaxed, professional and efficient. All in all it provided a great relaxing atmosphere with satisfying food and drink. Can't wait to go back and try out the garen for summer!!!!

Average food, terrible service. I went there on Saturday with my family. We sat in the garden and made our choices. They managed to bring the wrong order twice. While myself and my wife went to the bar to check what was going on, they managed to take off the plates of the first order from the table.

By the time they made it right, the first order was cold anyway. The manager came and tried to apologise but was very rude and defensive. He acknowledged the mistakes with the orders but ended up accusing us that we did not control our one and a half year-old son walking into the garden on his own.

At the end we got the full refund and promised never to come again. It could have been a nice place; it's a pity it's being mismanaged.

Great bar especially in the summer as it has a lovely beer garden (which closes at 10pm due to local residents).

I went on a sunny afternoon and it was very busy. Only drawback was the lack of bar staff so had to queue 10 mins sometimes to get served.

Henry J Bean's has awesome burgers. It's very calm during evenings, but packed at weekends! I love Henry J Bean's during summer.

Henry J Beans will forever be full of screaming women asking for orgasms and sex on the beach. It doesn't matter how many times I come in here, there's always one girl giggling away to herself at the hilarity of it all (shortly before staggering home to vomit on her carpet). Shame really, cos Henry J Beans make some of the best cocktails in town. I just wish their clientele would pay more attention to the yummy drinks, rather than the lame innuendo.
