Horniman Museum

This anthropological museum founded by the tea merchant Frederick Horniman is an excellent place to bring young children for an interactive experience. Includes anthropoligical, natural history and musical instrument displays with educational handling and library collections. Items on show include African wooden masks, head-dresses, Egyptian mummies, Polish stick puppets, Japanese shadow puppets and Punch and Judy. An Aquarium Journey with tank-viewing dens, takes you through different eco-systems for a fascinating glimpse of underwater habitats.
