Whether you are an experienced rider or a complete horse riding novice, horse riding at Wimbledon Village Stables will set you up with the confidence to ride our in some of Londons most beautiful natural landscapes.

Wimbledon Village Stables is a British Horse Society Approved Riding Establishment and is situated less than eight miles from Central London and is just a short walk from Wimbledon town. With Wimbledon Common just 200 yards from the stables, you will find plenty of well maintained riding tracks and glorious woodland rides available to you with horse riding at Wimbledon Village Stables.

Wimbledon Common also directly connects to the 2700 acres of Richmond Park and Ham Common, which is an area of outstanding beauty, grazed by herds of wild deer, that gives riders the opportunity to ride off the beaten track and enjoy the pleasure of the parks to their fullest degree. Horse riding at Wimbledon Village Stables and Richmond Park offers some of the best scenic riding in England, and you won't believe you are so close to central London.

Although Wimbledon Village Stables is a members club, you can ride with them even if you are not a member. Previous to your horse riding lessons, you must assess your own level of skill to allow the intructors to allocate you a suitable horse.

Level 1 - Never ridden or only walked.
Level 2 - Able to ride off lead rein, rise to trot, learning to canter, possibly ridden on holidays.
Level 3 - Able to walk, trot and canter but rusty or lacking experience.
Level 4 - Confident in walk, trot, canter out hacking, understand correct diagonals and canter leads.
Level 5 - Experienced and confident in all paces, able to ride a dressage test and/or jump a small course.
Level 6 - Able to ride any horse in any situation. Competed either dressage, show jumping or eventing.
