At first I was afraid, I was petrified… Yes, it’s another cheesy karaoke night, with Survivor, It’s Raining Men and Staying Alive bellowed in out of tune style whilst the ker-azy karaoke star lives out their X-Factor fantasy. Hot Breath Karaoke at The Legion is a popular – and free – weekly karaoke night that pulls in an up for it crowd of people who have had their embarrassment gene removed.

X-Factor Fantasies
Hot Breath Karaoke at The Legion is a popular free night that runs every Tuesday. They pride themselves on an up-to-date song book (so you won’t be scratching your head when your favourite Girls Aloud song is inexplicably missing). Husband and wife team Mike ‘n’ Jen host the night and make sure nobody lags behind on the singing stakes and a wheel of fortune style twist keeps things interesting.

Members' Club
So it’s not exactly the Groucho Club, but Hot Breath Karaoke at The Legion has its own members’ policy. If you sing karaoke more than 10 times, you’ll immediately become a member of ‘the most retarded club in town’. You receive a stamp on a special card every time you sing, when the card is filled with little red stamps you will receive an official members' club card that entitles you to drink offers, priority queue jumping for the karaoke and deals for other Hot Breath events.

Old Street’s Legion
The Legion maintains Old Street’s reputation for debauched hedonism with its eclectic nights that appeal to all tastes, from table dancing to club nights. It’s spacious without being cavernous and understated whilst remaining interesting. The funnel shaped bar gives way to a spacious dance floor, which is where all the action takes place. It’s to the bar’s credit that it’s maintained its appeal despite the huge array of pubs, bars and clubs that litter the area. Hot Breath Karaoke at The Legion has helped keep things interesting.

Who Will I Be Partying With?
The Legion pulls in an Old Street trendy crowd, but Hot Breath Karaoke takes on a different skew as karaoke-loving, courageous lads and lasses up for a laugh descend on the bar. This isn’t for shy, retiring wallflowers.

Hot Breath Karaoke at The Legion takes place from 9pm-12am every Tuesday. Entry is free all night.
