Hitting London with their needles well and truly out, the I Knit London crowd are here again with a special day dedicated to everything knitting related. I Knit Day is a chance for all you knitters to get together, and asides from knitting like crazy, expore the world of yarn and all its wonderous qualities.

There is plenty to get the young (and not so young) knitter excited at the I Knit Day London event. Having caused much excitement in the stiching world in 2007 when Debbie Stoller, queen of the Stitch and Bitch came to the UK to launch her new book, I Knit London brings even more wooly fun to the city with a very special day.

Workshops, talks, exhibitions, live entertainment and even more will make up the I Knit Day and London knitters will be agog with excitement at the prospect of meeting Yarn Harlot, the infamous blogging knitter. Giving away top tips and tricks on all things knitty, she will be talking about her knitting life and signing copies of her new book too.

Feeling inspired? The marketplace is the location to get yourself as many knitting acroutements as you can fit in your handbag, with yarns, needles, accessories and books on sale. Then you can take yourself and your needles off to some of the workshops and talks for even more practical advice and deven learn how to knit your own hamster.

The exhibitors hall will provide even more inspiration as top class knitters show off their wares, and make much of their knitting artwork. And after you've worked your way around the whole of I Knit Day, you can relax with some music, a tipple or two and maybe a spot of dancing.

Enter the knit an alien competition, discuss the results of the Victorian knitters versus today's knitters, catch the men's knitted fashion show, or simply meet up with your knitting fanatic friends and enjoy a day of wool, knitting and chat.

Sure to be the biggest event on the knitting calendar of London for 2008, I Knit Day will no doubt be selling out soon. So put down your needles and click on the link below for ticket booking and more information.
