With dance, acrobatics, flying and skating, the Ice Age Live London shows at Wembley Arena look set to be a thrilling way to spend the half term school holidays. The show brings some of the best loved characters from the animated films to life to delight children and all fans of the blockbuster series.
A Mammoth Adventure
Subtitled A Mammoth Adventure, the Ice Age Live London shows take place at the beginning of a five year, worldwide tour. Be amongst the first to see Manny, Diego, Sid, Ellie, Peaches and more of the characters from the film brought to live on stage in a spectacular show featuring dancing, acrobatics, music and skating.
Larger than life
Presented on an impressive scale, the Ice Age Live London shows feature a 3.5 metre high Manny the mammoth, as well as a brand new and sinister character, Shadow, a bird with a wingspan of 4 metres. Amongst the new characters designed specially for the live production, kids and families will no doubt be delighted with the appearance of favourite characters such as sabre-tooth squirrel Scrat, sabre-tooth tiger Diego, ground sloth Sid, woolly mammoths Ellie and Peaches, weasel Buck and opossums Eddie and Crash.
Music and more
Jointly directed by Guy Caron and Michael Curry, whose past projects have included Cirque du Soleil and The Lion King, the Ice Age Live London production also features contributions from set designer David Shields and musicians Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson. Expect plenty of toe tapping tunes, action packed sequences and gleeful humour during the show, which combines elements of the first three films.
Wembley Arena show
Following hot on the heels of the fourth instalment of the film series (Ice Age: Continental Drift), the Ice Age Live: A Mammoth Adventure live show has a story inspired by the plots of the first three films. The films famously follow a ragtag group of unlikely friends as they migrate to escape the extreme climate of the impeding ice age, and encounter many adventures along the way.
The Ice Age Live London shows take place at Wembley Arena from Thursday 1st November - Saturday 3rd November 2012. Tickets cost £20.00 - £50.00. Family tickets are also available. To book tickets for this event, click on the Buy Tickets button.
