Head to the giant ice sculpture at Covent Garden for the chance to win a variety of special shopping and dining prizes.

The big melt
Marking 180 years since the iconic Market Building was built and 30 years since the Piazza became a shopping and eating hub for visitors, the ice sculpture at Covent Garden takes the form of the number 30. The frozen sculpture will gradually melt in the summer sun to release 30 golden tickets for shopping and dining deals at venues across the Piazza.

Summer fun
With a series of special offers being released by the melting ice sculpture at Covent Garden, the temporary art installation is bound to be popular with bargain hunters. The ice sculpture can be seen on the Piazza on the same day that the Real Food Market is in business, which means that you can take a look at the sculpture and then go shopping for fresh, seasonal produce at the market stalls.

Birthday celebrations
As well as the ice sculpture at Covent Garden, there are plenty of other special celebrations taking place to mark the 180th birthday of the Market Building. Take part in party games, enjoy street performances and kids' entertainment and sign the giant birthday card.

Covent Garden 180 Year Anniversary

The ice sculpture at Covent Garden can be seen from 10am, Saturday 19th June 2010, and will melt throughout the day.
