Feel the festive cheer with a spot of ice skating at London Eye this Christmas, as the iconic observation wheel once again hosts a 300 square metre ice rink on the South Bank.
Christmas attraction
For many, Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without an ice skating session, and in recent years Londoners have been spoilt for choice with a number of picturesque ice rinks popping up over the city over the winter. Book your tickets for a session of ice skating at London Eye and take part in a popular pastime that's become as much a festive tradition as carol singing, mince pies and that frantic last minute dash to the shops to buy those last few Christmas presents.
Eye-Skate
Called the Eye-Skate, the brand new ice rink on the South Bank gives you the chance to go ice skating at London Eye and look up at the brightly lit observation wheel while slip sliding around the ice with friends and family. The ice rink is bound to be an eye catching spectacle, and looks set to be one of the most popular ice rinks in central London over the 2011 Christmas period.
4D experience
As well as giving you the chance to go ice skating at London Eye, tickets for the Eye-Skate ice rink also give you entry to The London Eye 4D Experience, the state of the art 4D cinema by the giant wheel. The short film on show includes 3D special effects on the screen, as well as special sensory effects such as wind, snow, and aromas that come right to your cinema seat.
