Christmas on the South Bank
For many Londoners and visitors to the capital, ice skating has become an integral part of the festive season, as important as scoffing mince pies and the sight of brightly wrapped presents under the Christmas tree. Promising plenty of festive cheer, the rink beneath The London Eye will be open once again for sessions of ice skating on South Bank over the 2011 Christmas period, so that even more people can enjoy this popular tradition.

The London Eye
Sure to be a popular addition to the host of ice rinks popping up across London this winter, the Eye-Skate ice rink underneath The London Eye is open for sessions of ice skating on South Bank from November 2011 to January 2012. The ice rink by the brightly lit observation wheel is sure to be an eye catching spectacle to rival the ever popular ice rinks at the Natural History Museum, Somerset House, and Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.

Film screenings
Tickets for the ice skating on South Bank also give you the chance to visit The London Eye's state of the art cinema. The short film screening at The London Eye 4D Experience combines 3D visuals with sensory effects such as wind, snow and aromas that come right to you in your cinema seat.
