Recently we used Imbibe for a charity quiz night and we had an amazing evening. The staff went the extra mile in making sure the event was a success. We had arranged some food for each of the tables which went down a storm both looking and tasting amazing. Here again the staff worked with us and were able to accommodate our changing schedule. Everybody left with a smile and the charity benefited!

Imbibe is a great place to go. I have been there a few times now - for all sorts of occasions. The last event I went to there was a quiz night which I understand is held on the first Tuesday of every month. It is unusual to see somewhere in that area so busy on a Tuesday night - it was packed and I understand why. The quiz was great fun - with a great range of questions and rounds - and the atmosphere was brilliant.
I have also taken clients there for lunch and never been disappointed. The bar staff are always very friendly and attentive and the food is really good.
I have also been there in the evening's several times and the atmosphere is always great. Their beer garden is the best I have been to in London and is a lovely place to chill out after a hard day.
A final word on the staff. They seem to have a great bunch of people working there who are very friendly and quick - even when busy which i think is a real credit to the bar and the way it is run.
I recently held my 30th birthday party at Imbibe after spending plenty of time searching for suitable venues in the area. I needed somewhere that would provide food, have plenty of helpful staff on hand and let my friends have a good time.
I have to say that Imbibe really pulled through for me. They were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I was shown round the venue by the owner Sam which i thought was a really nice touch. It showed that he was interested in my event and that it wasn't just another booking for him. The rest of the staff then made my night go perfectly. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was gorgeous.
Massive thanks to you all - especially Sam, Hannah and Jamie. I will definately be coming back and would highly recommend Imbibe to anyone.
I cannot recommend Imbibe highly enough. The staff are efficient, friendly & always provide a great service. I would also highly recommend going when the weather is warm as the beer garden is beautiful, lots of flowers and a real sun trap!
The food is excellent, canapes were delicious, the best we have ever had. Especially the chicken satay skewers, and mini roast beef on Yorkshire pudding. The food was fresh and presented very well.
It was so good I would book it for next year!
We are a law firm and the team at Imbibe looked after us brilliantly when we booked the bar for a client event in January. We ran a networking event at the bar, followed by drinks and canapes for our guests. They also organised a stage area for us to do some presentations, together with microphones and screen etcs.
The service was great, staff were friendly and our photos of the night look great as it is such an attractive looking venue.

Just tried to have lunch at Imbibe and they failed miserably.
We arrived and got offered a table that was randomly placed in the middle of the room, we asked if we could sit on the sofa instead and got told we could while we waited for our food but could not eat at the sofa. Not quite sure why we had to sit at the table but we agreed and sat down at the table.
We ordered 3 chicken burgers at 13.00 and and 13.30 asked how long they would be as we only had an hour for our lunch break we got told 15 minutes which we thought was a long time but told the waitress OK. The manager then came over and said sorry and said he asked the chef to do our order at the same time as the table next to us. The table next to us food then came out and we thought great we are next only for a table at the other side of the room to then get their food. We then called the waitress over and said we were told that we would be next and if our food wasn't brought out within the next few minutes we had to leave. Her response was "ok then". At which point we got up and asked to see the manager - waited a 2 mins and he didn't show so we just walked out.
Absolutely shocking service from the waitress that served us and I will not be going back there in my lunch hour again
Two words. Absolutely awful.
We booked a table via the internet but when we arrived we were told that we didn’t have a seat because there was pub quiz. Why take booking if you knew this in advance? We eventually got a seat by the door.
A group of my friends ordered food at the same time. Thirty minutes after ordering, we are told that the Salmon was no longer available. Surely they should have known this when we ordered? The food took long to make and one of my friends had to wait 1 hour and 10 minutes for the below average ‘jerk’ burger.
The cocktails tasted like artificial Alchopops. So sweet and cheap! The food was greasy and portions were small.
Unfortunately the staff were no better. Not once did they apologise for all their mistakes. They were slow and lackadaisical.
The only thing this restaurant/bar has going for it is the décor! I won’t be returning or recommending this dump to anyone!!.

We had our staff party there in January for 200 people and the team couldn't be more helpful and basically did my job for me, I left the organising in their very capable hands and the evening went really smoothly, the drinks didn't stop flowing and the food was delicious and plentiful! Excellent venue. Booked Imbibe for our summer party for 60 people. The staff were excellent and really easy to work with, both in advance on the day. The food was excellent and although we had booked the garden they made sure we were comfortable inside instead and still had great BBQ food despite the terrible rain! Nothing was too much trouble, in a stylish venue that was great value for money - thanks!

After discovering the venue I decided it would be great to use it for our summer kick off - both in the day and evening. We had such a fantastic time, everything ran very smoothly and i didn't have to worry about anything. The food was fab both during the day and in the evening. And lastly the garden is so pretty - it didn't feel like we were in London at all. Thanks for all you help!
I organised the office summer party at Imbibe at it has been a great success with everybody. We had our own little area in the rised terrace within the garden which was a great suggestion from Ollie.
We chose to have the BBQ and the food was simply delicious and very well priced too!
the staff were friendly and efficient whilst working under pressure, the bar is stylish and nicely decorated, overall a great place to have nice food within a very nice atmosphere. Highly recommended! SD

This is a great venue with delightful outside space and a funky interior. The bar staff are welcoming and friendly, and the choice of drinks is fantastic. I would definitely recommend Imbibe to anyone looking for a good night out or to hire a venue for a private party.
I would definitely recommend Imbibe as a venue. I work for a recruitment company and hired the bar and garden for out annual temps party. An event we hold to say thank you to all the people who work for us. The BBQ was excellent, plenty to eat and fantastic quality food. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Everyone commented on how good it was. The best temps party we’ve had yet by far.

We had our wedding reception at Imbibe and we had a fantastic time. We knew the venue well and love the décor and the amount of space you get. We had 54 seated for dinner and there was plenty of space for a bar area and chill out/reception area. The garden is also fantastic when the weather is good.
What really sets Imbibe apart is the quality of service and Sam and his team could not have done more for us on the day or when we were preparing in the weeks leading up to the event. We knew that Imbibe was a fantastic place but we received positive comments all day from our guests especially on how friendly and attentive all the staff were.
The food at Imbibe is always fresh and of high quality and we had an excellent menu to chose from (Rib of Beef, Leg of Lamb, Organic chicken and Sea Bass as options for mains). The chef was also able to cater for vegetarians and those guests who had special dietary needs (e.g. gluten free). The range of drinks available is good and the prices are very reasonable for Central London
We had a fantastic time at Imbibe and it made our Wedding extra special. We highly recommend using Imbibe for any special event you have…you won’t regret it!
Booked an area for my birthday recently and was super impressed by the service I received. From the moment I enquired, Olly, Hannah and the team were so friendly and very accommodating. We'd booked an outside area, but then it started to rain so the team reserved an inside table for us too.
My friends and I had a great night, plus fun music and fab atmosphere. Would really recommend this place.
Fantastic, close to the City venue for an event. 100 of us took over the place for a Summer Party. Great food, incredible value on a per head all inclusive basis, and wonderful service. The beer garden is a delight.
Great venue for a big group. The beer garden was fantastic and Olly the manager made sure that all the groups were really well looked after even when it did rain. I would definitely recommend to others and hold another event here.

We celebrated a birthday here with a group of about 15. The beer garden is great, it's quite protected and cosy and has a real garden feel to it. Especially our area on the decking was phenomenal, separate from the larger area but still felt like being in the middle of it. It's partly overgrown with plants to make you feel you're in an outside room. The heating lights came in handy during the later part of the evening, so this is a great place even early in the year. The atmosphere in the whole place is lively and friendly. Staff was extraordinarily helpful to accommodate our requests and really helped to make it a special night - Thanks to Ollie and Crew!!
We had Tapas and BBQ, both of which were very tasty (The chicken and the potato salad were especially mentioned by our guests). Later we moved inside for music and had a great time there, too.

I held my birthday party at Imbibe on 7 May and would definitely recommend Sam and his team to anyone looking for a venue for something similar. It was superb! I had just over 100 guests and the Imbibe team did an awesome job and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the party. The bar looked fantastic; food at the bbq was top quality and it wouldn’t have been possible without the great team working on the night. Everyone has commented how great they all were so well done! All I can do is say ‘thanks’ once again for helping make my party such a huge success and I will be back for sure. Great job guys!
A group of friends and I booked an area at Imbibe for the Royal Wedding Party. It was perfectly organised and the bar looked very festive and well dressed for the occasion. Staff were so incredibly helpful and the food and drink was fab too.

A really friendly pub with nice outside areas. We went on a Thursday night and the back outside area was heaving but there are secluded seating areas out front among the plants which were lovely. Staff were really friendly and there was a great atmosphere.
Hands down one of the best places I have been in London in longer then I can remember! Food, drinks, atmosphere and more importantly the staff we first class and its only when you come somewhere like this that you see how bad everywhere else is! From the moment we walked in until the moment we left I cannot fault anything and with the added bonus of an outside area this has easily become my number 1 place for drinks!
Keep up the amazing work as you are streets ahead of anywhere else to drink/eat in the area!!

We recently held a Friday night charity event at Imbibe for Macmillan Cancer Support and it was a great success. We had our own spacious private area at the back of the bar next to the fireplace which was perfect. Imbibe is quirky and has a lot of character with great decor. Sam and his team were a great help and organising this venue was hassle free.
The location is ideal 2mins walk from Southwark tube and a short walk from Waterloo and the City. I will definitely use Imbibe for any future events or parties.
We also discovered Imbibe's great beer garden which we didn't use but it's well worth bearing in mind for summer events.
Tourism South East have recently held an annual media event at Imbibe.
Imbibe is very near to Waterloo and in a central location which really suited our requirements. The costings were completely reasonable for what we requested. All our needs were meet and nothing was too much bother for the team. In particular the chef meet all our requirements and worked wonders with the local produce that we asked to be incorporated into the menu.
We have received very good feedback on Imbibe and the menu from all our guests that attended our event.
Had work Xmas lunch and drinks here. Sam and Sam (the guys who own the bar) were consistently helpful, every request no matter how straight forward or how difficult was delivered and always with extreme politeness and good humour. It was a joy sorting this out with Sams and I would definitely arrange another party here.
We had a 3 course lunch for 52 people and it was all delivered fast and with no mistakes. The food was really good, the staff really fun and they all worked exceptionally hard.
There was a large group of us and Sam reserved us a perfect area by the real log fire - which was perfect as it was snowing outside. It was toasty and cosy for us to sip our cocktails to.
Music was perfect for a work crowd with loads of good party tunes.

Hired Imbibe for a company quiz night recently. Great space, lovely atmosphere, very well looked after by both Sams (manager and chef) and all the friendly bar staff. No complaints whatsoever.... except that we couldn't make use of the gorgeous back garden because it was too damn cold. Will definitely be going back in the summer if not before!

Hired out Imbibe recently for my husband's 40th Birthday celebration, and could not possibly be any happier. This venue really is fantastic, and we have received so many compliments about the evening. Staff were incredibly helpful with everything from helping us select food to arranging the DJ, and on the night of the party they were brilliant. Definitely recommend!
I had my 40th Bday party at Imbibe last weekend .... WOW is all i can say , what a wonderful venue which caters for all ages / tastes / needs .... Fantastic staff , awesome food and overrun with compliments from guests the whole of the following week ..... this is THE best venue in London .... NO DOUBT !!

We have had two staff parties at Imbibe now, hosting private hire for a Summer party last year and a BBQ party this summer and both events were a big success.
The venue is one of the only in the area that is attractive / trendy and available for private hire with both large inside and outside space and is a short distance from the tube and the television studios at Southbank.
General Manager, Sam, and the rest of his staff are really friendly and helpful and endeavored to meet all our requirements, including providing a DJ, extra security, special menus and bespoke cocktails.

Imbibe provided the ideal venue and place for a professionally managed party. As a small events company based in London with a global client base we needed something quite unique for our 1 old year birthday party. The bbq and food was excellent, the space perfect for the 200 people attending and the bar staff friendly and welcoming. Management and planning for the event before the night was very professional and Sam (bar manager/owner) catered for every detail - including the ones we missed too! We had a great party at Imbibe. The staff were very helpful in all the organisation and on the day everything went smoothly. It is a great venue enabling us to have an afternoon BBQ in the lovely garden and we created a kids corner. For the evening we had a band followed by a DJ with lots of dancing. We had lots of great comments from our guests on the venue, food and the party. We would definitely use Imbibe again for any future parties as it was such a success. Great venue in having the outside space and lovely bar with room for a band in a central location.
Our offices are just a short walk away from Imbibe and with such a great food & drink menu on offer, Imbibe is definitely the pub of choice for our staff for a Friday lunch time treat.
It therefore seemed fitting that we would hold our Ministry of Sound office summer party there, which turned out to be a brilliant evening! From start to finish Imbibe helped us no end with the planning and organising. The food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. We started off the evening mingling in their picturesque beer garden nibbling on the delights from the BBQ and spent the rest of the night dancing away to our DJs in the bar!

We were giddy with excitement & alcohol and loved Imbibe so perhaps a more reliable unbiased version of events can be found in the quotes from our guests.... “mate, the BBQ was amazing, I ate way too much”... “where did you find this place? It’s so cool”...”the garden was wicked” … “the barman was fit”… “I did enjoy the Pimms” ... “That bar was frickin awesome” ...
We had Britain's Next Top Model wrap party at Imbibe this year. It's our 15th party there and wouldn't consider anywhere else!! It's a perfect party and events venue. The indoor space and garden are ideal to spread out and have different areas for everyone to eat, talk and dance! The staff - headed up by owner/manager Sam - are great, v. friendly and informal but work really hard to ensure everyone has the best time possible. They have looked after our VIP and celeb guests - as well as the rest of us - impeccably over the years! We have never had a bad party or time at Imbibe and we couldn't recommend it enough. Imbibe prides itself on its customer service, particularly where private parties are concerned and I am extremely disappointed to note that we have let you down on this occasion. Saw Imbibe on View London, had good reviews, emailed the events manager Cuan who said he would be happy to meet with me to discuss requirements and that date I wanted was available, the date was also showing as available on their website. I went to take a look at the venue which is nice and so did my brother, however the events manager is rude, abrupt, took no interest and had no desire to be accommodating. I had expressed that we wanted to confirm our booking in which he said to send him an email with the details, after doing that I had to chase with many phone calls in which I was rushed off the phone and fobbed off. Then I was sent a one line email saying all of a sudden the date we wanted was unfortunately no longer available, funny enough because of the way I had been dealt with, this came as no surprise. Upon asking for another date available I received no reply. I have no idea why the customer service was so bad towards me, and will probably never know, however this does not serve them well if they want people to use their venue. I had a private party 2 weekends ago at another bar which was a great success and in which the staff were very pleasant and accomodating and in turn we spent a lot of money. I cannot say the same for Imbibe and would not recommend that you use their venue unless they get a new events manager or a new approach to customer service.
