Intelligent Movement London

Celebrating hip hop and street culture in its many forms, the Intelligent Movement London festival takes over the Southbank Centre for one weekend of b-boying, DJ sets, MCing and graffiti art.

Hip hop events
Covering everything from live hip hop music to street dance, DJing and MCing, the Intelligent Movement London festival features guest appearances from stars such as DJ Charlie Dark and MOBO Award winner Akala. There's also the chance for you to test your own deck spinning mettle with the DJ battle to end all battles on the outdoor Riverside Terrace, and catch a free gig from MC extraordinaire Envy and leading female beatboxer Bellatrix.

B-boys
Fans of hip hop and street dancing will be in seventh heaven at the Intelligent Movement London event, with a series of performances. Head to the b.supreme night to see British female hip hop dancers at the top of their game, or cheer on the contestants in the Street Dance XXL UK Championships, which take place at the Royal Festival Hall.

Want to have a go yourself? A number of workshops and masterclasses take place during the Intelligent Movement London festival, so that dance fans of all ages and abilities can have a go at popping, locking, breaking and footwork. There's also the chance to head out onto the floor and dance the night away to live music at the We Got Funk night.
