Italian Mamas Week at Caffe Caldesi

For one week only the Caldesi cookery school and restaurant is opening their kitchens to six Italian mothers. With all the Mamas having offspring employed by Caffe Caldesi, this is an idea that started when one waiter boasted about his mother's culinary skills and the re-release of the cookery book, Italian Mamas Week, has given them a good excuse to see if he’s right.

What the Italian Mamas week at Caffe Caldesi offers customers is a special Mamas menu, bringing an authentic and original taste of Italy to London. Allowing customers to try recipes treasured for generations, the Caldesi Mamas will also be hosting several cookery classes including one for children aged 6 to 12 years old. Indeed, Mamas week at Caldesi is proving that Mediterranean style cooking is as sociable and family orientated as the traditional ideal.

The Mamas menus is available all week, and if you want a Mama demonstration then head to Caffe Caldesi on Monday 6th October. Adult cookery classes will be held on the Wednesday 8th (10.30am – 2pm) and Friday 10th October (6.30pm – 9.30pm) at La Cucina Caldesi for £90.00 per head. There will be a children's cookery lesson at La Cucina Caldesi on Saturday 4th October, held between 10.30am and 12.30pm, priced at £40.00.
