Celebrating the centenary of the birth of legendary producer Albert R. Broccoli, the James Bond screenings at London cinemas are part of a nation wide series of events bringing the digitally restored early 007 films to a new cinema audience.

Taking place at the Clapham Picturehouse, the Ritzy Cinema at Brixton, the Gate Cinema at Notting Hill and the Stratford Picturehouse, the James Bond screenings at London cinemas will take place on Sundays throughout June 2009. Digitally remastered classic James Bond Films including Dr. No and Goldfinger will be given the big screen treatment once more, so fans of Britain's suave secret agent can settle down with a helping of popcorn and watch all the exploits unfold.

Dr No
Starting off with Dr No on Sunday 7th June, the James Bond screenings at London Cinemas begin at the very start of Bond's depiction on screen. In Dr No, Sean Connery puts his stamp on the character of Bond, as 007 stumbles upon the sinister Dr No after he is sent to Jamaica to investigate the disappearance of a collegue. Dr No is followed on Sunday 14th June by From Russia With Love, notable for the inventive gadgetry Bond employs, as well as the film's depiction of cold war politics.

Later on in June, the James Bond season at selected London cinemas will show Goldfinger, as well as On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which stars George Lazenby as Bond.
