Check out the unusual and thought provoking Japan Car exhibition in London to celebrate automobile history and futuristic design. Created by two world class names from outside the automobile industry, the Japan Car show aims to draw in broader themes from Japanese culture and questions the future of the car across the world.

Japan Car exhibition London
Designed to examine the car as a mobile cell, the Japan Car exhibition London event will appeal to anyone who loves Japanese design, cars, and innovative technology. Renowned graphic designer Kenya Hara and internationally acclaimed architect Shigeru Ban have created an exhibition which explores the creative new directions that automobile technology is taking as well as the history of some of Japan's most iconic cars.

Quintessentially Japanese
Alongside exhibitions of Japanese bonsai, art and design, the Japan Car show will display conceptual models and 14 cars from the past decade, including the Nissan PIVO2 and Toyota i-REAL. Other cars on display will be the Mazda Roadster, Suzuki Jimney and Daihatsu Copen.

Small but perfectly formed
Japan is famous for its sleek and dinky designs, and the Japan Car exhibition London event celebrates some of the most innovative and futuristic automobile technology. Both adults and children are bound to be drawn to the tiny and distinctive kei cars which are so popular in Japan.

A green future
The environment comes in for special consideration, with green hybrid cars taking centre stage. One highlight is the Mitsubishi i_MiEV, which can run for 160km from just one overnight recharge.

The Japan Car exhibition in London runs from Saturday 29th November 2008 - Sunday 19th April 2009 at the Science Museum. Opening times throughout the week are 10am - 6pm. Tickets cost £6.25 - £8.00. For more information, click on the link below.
