Enjoy delicious Caribbean cuisine at the big Jerk Cookout at Horniman Museum in August. Hoping for food as hot as the weather, the museum in once again hosting this popular cookout, where the best jerk chefs come together to prove their skills on the barbecue.

Thousands will be heading to the gardens for the 2008 Jerk Cookout at Horniman Museum which will be hosted by comedienne Donna Spence. A world class cookery event that will tantalise the taste buds of all who attend, this is the biggest and best Jerk Cookout in London.

All the contestants who will be taking part in the cookery competition have been chose from the best Caribbean restaurants, takeaways, catering companies and hotels in town, and will be eager to prove themselves the very best in the annual Jerk Cookout at Horniman Museum. Professional judges will be on hand during the day to assess the quality of the jerk, and even a Michelin starred chef will be sampling the food from the stall to see which is best. Looking for taste, presentation and authenticity, the competition will as always be pretty fierce.

Tuck into tasty Caribbean jerk, enjoy the sunshine and relax in the beautiful surroundings of the Horniman Museum for the day. There will also be live music and entertainment to keep up the festival spirit, and make you think you feel in the holiday mood. Activites for kids will keep them entertained, and you can also take the opportunity to browse the stalls selling unique gifts and crafts from around the world.

The Jerk Cookout at Horniman Museum takes place 1pm - 6pm on Sunday 17th August 2008. Entrance is free but you will be charged for food and drink.
