I arrived at the Jerusalem Taver bang on opening time but my first impression was that it was closed for refurbishment. From the doorway it looks like the interior has been stripped out. Happily the barman welcomed us in and was quick to offer samples of the different real ales available.



For a small pub with very little in the way of stuff decorating it has a huge amount of character and ambience. And as for the beers, well, I would be hard pushed to think of many better pints that I've had than the St Peter's ones in Jerusalem Tavern. They were sensational. Every one was in tip top condition. I can't recommend Jerusalem Tavern highly enough. Go visit!
