Revisit some of the best films of a Hollywood great with a season of Johnny Depp films at BFI Southbank. Charting the career of the leading man and A lister from the 1980s right up to the present day, the season includes many of Depp's collaborations with renowned filmmaker Tim Burton.

Month long film season
With movies such as Donnie Brasco, What's Eating Gilbert Grape and Ed Wood on the programme for the season of Johnny Depp films at BFI Southbank, there's bound to be something to please a wide range of film fans. Never one to rest on his laurels, Depp has played everything from a cocaine dealer to a rare book collector and a pirate of the high seas, so expect plenty of variety in the films on offer.

Tim Burton
As the actor is well known for his long running collaborations with Tim Burton, a visit to see the Johnny Depp films at BFI Southbank also gives you the chance to revisit some of the director's most famous projects. See Depp's soulful but largely silent central performance in Edward Scissorhands, or watch him in the biopic of the notoriously inept director in Ed Wood.

As well as other Tim Burton films such as The Corpse Bride and Sweeney Todd, other highlights of the Johnny Depp films at BFI Southbank season includes Roman Polanski's The Ninth Gate, as well as the hugely popular first Pirates of the Caribbean film, which stars Depp as the eccentric pirate Jack Sparrow. There's also a special parent and toddler screening of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Terry Gilliam's acclaimed adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's classic book.
