Keeping children and their families happy over the summer holidays in August 2009, The Kids Are Alright at Covent Garden features a giant sandpit, Punch and Judy shows, juggling workshops and a range of shopping and eating offers.

With face painting, balloon modelling, battle games courtesy of Games Workshop and lessons on how to use a diablo, The Kids Are Alright at Covent Garden series of events should have something to interest all ages and interests. As well as the Punch and Judy shows and giant sandpit, kids can also take part in juggling, miming and balancing workshops held by the Covent Garden street performers.

Real Food Market
The Speaker's Corner at the Real Food Market is also hosting two days of activities that children can take part in, including cupcake decorating workshops, raw chocolate making and mixing, and the chance to roll bees wax candles. There will also be toffee apples, candy floss, and many more treats to buy at the market stalls on Thursday 13th August and Thursday 20th August.

Restaurant and shopping offers
As well as the children's playground, The Kids Are Alright at Covent Garden season also features a number of special offers from food venues on and around the Covent Garden Piazza. Sophie's Steakhouse, Maxwells Bar & Grill, Porters Restaurant and the Covent Garden Grill are all be holding kids eat for free peromotions, and shopping venues such as Cyber Candy, Build-a-Bear Workshop, Eric Snook, and Candy Cakes are putting on multibuy offers, prizes and competitions.

The Kids Are Alright at Covent Garden series of events run from Monday 10th August - Sunday 23rd August 2009. The sandpit and playground are open throughout the day, and the workshops run from 1pm - 5pm daily. Admission is free.
