Back once more for the fifth year in a row, the Landscape Photographer of the Year exhibition is on show at the National Theatre foyer. Open to everyone interested in landscape photos, the exhibition is certain to attract plenty of budding photographers.

Landscape Photographer of the Year 2011
Showcasing a stunning selection of photos the Landscape Photographer of the Year exhibition invites you to take a mental walk through some of the most spectacular landscapes in Britain. Whether you are a fan of landscapes, are a keen amateur photographer yourself or have never been to a photo exhibition before, you will be amazed by some of the fantastic scenery on display.

Explore the countryside
Britain has some of the most diverse landscape in Europe and with our constantly changing weather systems, there is always something different to photograph. Inspiring photographers all over the country, the Landscape Photographer of the Year exhibition features all the runners up, and the winner of the prestigious £10,000 prize fund. This year's winner is Robert Fulton, who took a stunning picture of a wintry field in Stirlingshire.

Different views
You may think that landscapes all look the same, but the Landscape Photographer of the Year exhibition will prove you wrong. Photographs are presented from the four different categories including the Classic View, the Living the View, Your View and even an Urban View which was new for 2010. The competition is held in association with Network Rail for another year, and the Lines in the Landscape award, which shows the interaction between railways and its surroundings, was won by Shahbaz Majeed for his picture of a train on the Tay Bridge.

Exhibition tours and talks
If you want to know more about how to take good photos or simply find out about the ways in which different photographers work, then you can pop along to one of the talks or tours which are taking place regularly throughout the show. Founder of the Landscape Photographer of the Year award Charlie Waite is taking visitors around the exhibition, where he will give a 30 minute appraisal of the pictures on show. You can also attend a talk hosted by Charlie as he discusses his own personal approach to landscape photography.
