Special late night Batman screenings at the BFI IMAX allow you to see the brand new film very late at night. Given the massive hype surrounding the film and the fact that 28,5000 tickets have been pre booked at the IMAX alone, the late night Batman screenings maybe the only way you can get to see the Dark Knight.

With pre bookings filling up the Dark Knight's schedule at the IMAX cinema from the word go, the late night Batman screenings are taking place at 2.30am and 5.30am in order to give more people the chance to see the new release in the first few days. With anticipation running high to see the late Heath Ledger's take on The Joker, there are bound to be even more people desperate to see the film as soon as they can.

For those that work the late shift at pubs or clubs, or do night work, the late night Batman screenings are the perect way to end a hard day's graft. For the rest of us however, it'll either mean plenty of coffee and maybe a quick nap in the loos at lunchtime the next day, or rushing home to get some sleep before getting up very early and heading off to the cinema.

The Dark Knight has been on everyone's lips since the tragic death of Heath Ledger back in January this year, and now the film is on release, there will be plenty of debate as to whether the actor is deserving of a posthumous Oscar or not. With a performance set to rival Jack Nicholson's archetypal Joker in the 1990 Tim Burton version of Batman, Heath Ledger brings his gruesome villain to the big screen to accompany Christian Bale's lead role.

Amazing cinematography, special effects that will blow your mind, and a cast of legendary actors, the Dark Knight is well worth staying up late for. If you would like to book tickets for the late night Batman screenings at BFI IMAX, click on the link below for more information.

Screening times for the Dark Knight at IMAX cinema are variously 2.30am, 5.30am, 2.10pm, 2.50pm, 5.15pm, 5.55pm, 8.20pm, 9pm, and 11.30pm.
