Le Cirque Invisible London

Head to the Southbank Centre for the Le Cirque Invisible London circus show, when Jean-Baptiste Thierree and Victoria Chaplin, daughter of Charlie Chaplin, will be presenting a breathtaking mix of magic, circus and theatrical performances.

Le Cirque Invisible London
Aiming to entertain both children and adults alike with a visually spectacular show, the Le Cirque Invisible London event features everything from singing kneecaps and a human glass harmonica to acrobatics and contortionism. Taking place throughout August at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the magic and circus show is part of the Southbank Centre's summer programme of performing arts and family events.

Cirque Noveau
Originally called Le Cirque Bonjour and conceived in 1971 for the Avignon Festival, the Le Cirque Invisible London show at the Southbank Centre is the result of a gradual paring down of the original act, which was a 30 piece big top style affair. Now an intimate show featuring just two performers, the circus explores the theme of magic using the traditions and techniques of Cirque Noveau.

Unique performances
Highlights of the show include Victoria Chaplin making music from glasses and bowls strapped to her body, and clowning acts from Jean-Baptiste Thierree. The show also features whimsical theatrical pieces.
