Le Corbusier Exhibition at Barbican

Fans of architecture and design are in for a treat at the Le Corbusier exhibition at the Barbican. The first major exploration of the groundbreaking architect's work in London for over 20 years, the exhibition, titled The Art of Architecture, will run at the Barbican until May 2009.

The Art of Architecture Le Corbusier exhibition at the Barbican Art Gallery features original models, drawings, photographs, and a wealth of other material charting the architect's development over the long span of his career. From his Purist villas of the 1920s to his designs for civic buildings in India in the 1960s, the working processes that contributed to some of le Corbusier's greatest achievements are displayed at this extensive show at the Barbican.

Special events
Tying in with the Le Corbusier exhibition, the Barbican is hosting a series of special events. Every Saturday, architectural historian Eva Branscombe will lead a tour around the exhibitition and explain the little known links between Le Corbusier and the Barbican: the walk and talk sessions start at 2pm for families, and 4pm for adults only.
