Leather Forever Hermes Exhibition London

A unique Leather Forever Hermes exhibition London event takes place during spring 2012 and explores the 175 year history and fascination with creating designer objects from leather. Founded by Thiery Hermes in 1837, the Parisian fashion house has a long established reputation for working with leather to create harnesses and saddles, before later moving onto bags, shoes, purses, belts and other fashionable leather items, many of which will be on show in the Leather Forever Hermes exhibition. London fashion fans will be able to learn more about the history of the company, through six generations of artisan crafts, which has enabled them to keep on making the same objects with the same skill and dedication since the business began.

The art of fashion
Not only will many iconic leather designs be on show in the exhibition, but visitors to 6 Burlington Gardens are also able to see how several of the products are actually created. With various different craftspeople from the workshops in Paris on site at the Leather Forever Hermes exhibition, you'll be able to see precisely how skilled they are in producing these stylish creations.

As well as spanning the history of the company and presenting products from those commissioned by the Duke of Windsor up to the present day, those inspired by the leather goods on show could end up taking home a little piece of the Leather Forever Hermes exhibition.
