Lesbian and Gay Tennis London

The lesbian and gay tennis London club is the ideal place to meet up with other lesbian and gay tennis players and practise your slams, aces and underarm.

The group is a non-profit organisation that offers a safe, fun, sociable and well-being alternative for the London’s gay community through friendly games of tennis.

With over 140 members,who meet on Sunday evenings to play tennis and socialize in a friendly environment, the Lesbian and Gay tennis London club is a well established club that provides sporting entertainment for many gay people in London.

The lesbian and gay tennis London club meets weekly at the Westway Tennis Centre, where usually, between 30 and 50 players meet to play short doubles sets. The club also runs coaching courses for both non-members who are beginners, and for its existing members to help them improve their playing skills.

Inspired by the number of tennis players at the New York Gay Games in 1994, the lesbian and gay tennis London club was started to encourage the gay community of London to share their enthusiasm for sport in a more social and competitive way.

Having grown from a small club in Paddington to the lesbian and gay tennis London evening sessions at the Westway Tennis Centre, the club not only represents the gay and lesbian communities of London through its events, but also runs the Tennis London International Championships annual competition, which is one of over 40 international tournaments on the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance tour and open to all-comers.
