Coming with a hefty £1,800 price tag, the world exclusive L’Essence de Courvoisier at Harrods is accessable only to confirmed cognac fans with money to spare. The decanters of cognac are available to order between 27th August – 30th September 2009 before the cognac goes on sale acround the world. Unique to Harrods, if you pre-order your decanter of L'Essence de Courvoisier you can also get it engraved with your own personal message.

Blending old with new
A complex cognac full of well matured flavours, L’Essence de Courvoisier is a blend of eaux de vie from wines made at the beginning of the 20th century as well as from the 21st century. Those lucky enough to get their hands on an exclusive, bespoke engraved decanter of l’Essence de Courvoisier at Harrods will be able to discern hints of liquorice, apricot, sandalwood and toffee in the cognac.

The legend of Napoleon
The individually numbered Baccarat crystal decanters containing L’Essence de Courvoisier at Harrods are finished with a facetted crystal stopper inspired by Napoleon’s signet rings. These objects were once given to army commanders by the emperor as a reward for acts of service, and complement the rich, luxurious tones of the drink inside the decanter.

The limited edition bottles of L’Essence de Courvoisier at Harrods are available to pre-order before they go on general sale in store from Thursday 27th August – Wedensday 30th September 2009, at a price of £1,800.
