A special celebration of deaf and disabled artists and performers in London, Liberty at Trafalgar Square this summer is set to be a day of exciting art and dramatic street theatre. With street art, comedy, live music, contemporary dance and circus performers all taking to the square to provide entertainment, visitors to Liberty are guaranteed to be entertained.

Free arts festival
Proving once again that London is right at the front of supporting equality and diversity with all its festivals, the 2010 Liberty at Trafalgar Square brings some of the best in deaf and disabled performers and their work to Central London, inviting everyone to share in their commitment to providing an energetic and upbeat day of entertainment.

Live performances
With several different areas taking over the iconic central landmark on Saturday 4th September, Liberty at Trafalgar Square makes for a fun packed day for all the family. Both kids and adults will enjoy visiting all the zones for a variety of entertainment. The aerial and circus zone will be crammed with acrobatic performers, with shows from the likes of Amici Dance Theatre and Cirque Nova.

Music and dance
The music and dance areas are hosting performances from three young bands, The Fish Police, KDNA and Lizzie Emeh. Festival goers can also enjoy extracts from the Reasons to be Cheerful show, which uses the songs of Ian Drury as an emotive soundtrack to all the drama on stage.

Activities for children
Kids get a special zone all to themselves at this year's Liberty at Trafalgar Square. Children get to explore the Up In The Air theme at the Windy Wonderland area, which features wind machines, fabrics and sound. A rich day of arts and theatre, Liberty brings to the city some of the best disabled artists and performers in the country to provide some amazing entertainment.

Liberty at Trafalgar Square runs from 1pm - 6pm, Saturday 4th September 2010. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
