Enjoy a series of live arts and theatre peformances for free at the Live Weekends at ICA. Taking place over three weekends in May, the weekends feature storytelling, music, film screenings and interactive performances for kids and adults alike.

Live arts
Taking place at a variety of different spaces around the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Live Weekends at ICA have been created in collaboration with guest producers Tim Etchells and David Gryn. Better yet, all events are free to attend, which means that culture vultures can get their fix of live arts and performances without having to reach into their pockets.

First weekend
Kicking off the first of the Live Weekends at ICA series is a long weekend presented by Artprojx director David Gryn. Head to the theatre to see a special David Blandy production, enjoy a screening of a Star Wars mockumentary, take part in a Street Fighter IV tournament and head to the bar to hear Ninja Tune DJs and Infinite Livez play.

Second weekend
Architecture and storytelling take centre stage at the second of the Live Weekends at ICA, with the institute's gallery and reading room turned into an experimental playground for both children and adults to enjoy. Take part in a series of architect, writer and artist led workshops, or bed down for the family sleepover on Saturday night.

Final weekend
The third and final weekend takes the theme of futures and pasts, and includes a mammoth, ten hour lecture conducted by a team of artists, academics and writers. The third weekend is curated by writer and artist Tim Etchells.

The Live Weekends at ICA take place from 6th May - 9th May, 14th May - 16th May and 21st May - 23rd May 2010.
