The LolliBop kids festival London event takes over Regent's Park for one weekend in August, proving that just because they're too young to even know what Glasto is, doesn't mean they can't have their very own festival. Designed for the under 10s but also perfectly enjoyable for the over 10s, and the very much over 10s, LolliBop 2012 is a full on weekend of interactive music, dancing, singing, activity and running about like a five year old who's eaten too many sweets.

London is home to many festivals over the summer, with superstar headliners and crowd pleasing extras - and LolliBop is just one of those very same festivals. Featuring appearances from the likes of Dick & Dom and the CBeebies' very own Zingzillas, along with tents crammed with food, entertainment and activities for little children, this festival is set to compete with the best.
Bandstand to big top
If your anklebiters are the kind of kids who are always on the go, then quite simply this is the festival for them. With the Transformers Optimus Prime Truck, the Roald Dahl Museum and Storytelling Centre, the Mr Men and Little Miss Party Road Show, Horrible Histories workshops, The Gruffalo and performers from Shrek the Musical too, there are plenty of exciting events at this year's LolliBop kids festival to keep your children entertained.
Get arty
For kids that like to be creative a series of workshops should keep them out of mischief. Children can learn to dance with Tiny Pop, get their faces painted, experiment with the Science Museum, cook up a storm in the LolliBop Kitchen or head to one of the Imagination Stations to learn new skills such as puppetry, DJing and tightrope walking. As well as the too cool for school sports day and the Disco Shed, there is something to inspire even the most Horrid Henry-like of children on the LolliBop kids festival programme.
Something completely different
And as if that wasn't quite enough to make sure you take home your little darlings completely and utterly exhausted at the end of the day, there is also Little Angel Theatre, music from Jassa Ahluwalia of Art Attack, The Mad Hatter's Tea Party and Queen of Hearts Croquet, street theatre, Horrible Histories, as well as children's fairground rides and plenty of inflatable fun.
The LolliBop kids festival London takes place from Friday 17th August - Sunday 19th August 2012. Advance tickets (adult or child) are available for £25.00, while tickets bought on the day cost £33.00. Family and group tickets are also available.
