London Boat Show

When

Friday 7th January - Sunday 16th January 2011

Where

ExCel Centre

The London Boat Show returns to the capital for 2011 with an exhibition of boats, live water sports, accessories and more in one huge boating event.

Boating heaven
The ExCel Centre is being transformed into boating heaven for the London Boat Show in one of the biggest events of its kind. Boating, water sports and sailing enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice of things to see and do at an event packed with marine attractions.

Dream boats and expert advice
A line up of the world’s most exclusive yachts and boats are on display at the London Boat Show, with everything from multi-million pound cruisers to dinghies on show. Visitors can climb aboard and experience the boats up close, whilst experts are on hand to talk through the latest models. And even though there is a recession on, you can still afford to go boating, with plenty of exhibits highlighting just how reasonable it can be. There is even a chance to win your own boat!

Deck games
Nonstop action is taking place at the London Boat Show featuring a whole host of great activities. There's a variety of on-water activities available in the indoor pool so get ready to make a splash. Kids will be keen to get their hands on some of the deck games designed for younger hands - they can even try a scuba dive experience. Both interesting and educational, this is the place for little sailors to learn the ropes, especially as children under 15 get in for free.

Show time
The main stage will once again host a fantastic selection of marine themed entertainment, fashion, seminars and experiences every day of the show. Racing fans can cheer on the teams at the Ovington Skiff Grand Prix and the British Sailing Battle of the Classes Pursuits Race during the Dinghy Weekend.

Black and White Bar
Visitors can enjoy a drink or two at the Boat Show Black and White Bar or some food courtesy of all sorts of different local restaurants and cafes. Make the most of the chance to take a break with a relaxing pint, before getting back to browsing the stalls and exhibitions.

Water, water everywhere
This year sees the marina outside the ExCel centre once more showcasing a selection of some of the larger boats available. Docked on the Thames rather than being brought into the centre due to their sheer size, the massive vessels are certainly a sight worth seeing as part of the 2011 show. There are also a selection of vessels from the inland waterway industry, so if narrow boats and wide beam boats are your particular cup of tea, this area might be for you.

The Tullet Prebon International London Boat Show takes place at the ExCel Centre, Docklands, from Friday 7th January - Sunday 16th January 2011. The show opens from 10am – 7pm daily, with later 9pm closing on Thursday 14th January and early closing at 6pm on Sunday 16th January 2011.

Standard adult day tickets cost £13.00 in advance or £18.00 on the day. Children under 15 are free. For more information and to book your tickets, call 0844 209 0333 or click on the link below.
