Bill Amberg’s Bags and Belts
Children can learn about leather design and fashion in a lively, hands-on workshop, making and decorating bags, belts, key rings and more. Bill Amberg’s Bags and Belts
Workshops take place every Sunday in March from 2pm - 5pm.
Full Steam Ahead!
Celebrate the life of legendary engineer and designer Isambard Kingdom Brunel in a unique design workshop. Budding engineers can construct fully functioning model trains and learn about Britain’s railway heritage. Full Steam Ahead! Workshops take place every Sunday in April from 2pm – 5pm.
Fly A Kite
Children can use specially prepared design kits to design, make and decorate their very own kites before putting their designs to the test out on the Design Museum’s riverfront terrace. Fly A Kite Workshops take place every Sunday in May from 2pm -5pm.
Design Action Packs
All children who visit the Design Museum will be given a free Design Action Pack containing special games and creative exercises. Exhibits from the museum feature in the Action Packs, allowing young designers to continue the experience at home.
The London Design Museum creativity workshops are suitable for children aged 6 – 12. All places must be booked in advance. For booking call 020 7940 8782. Entry into the Design Museum is free for children under 12 but all children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Adult tickets cost £7.00.
