With London Eye yoga classes members of the public have a unique opportunity to learn yoga whilst taking in a 360 degree view of London. The event is taking place as part of Carpe Diem Urban Yoga Week, aiming to promote yoga and raise funds for charitable causes.
Yoga on the London Eye
On the morning of Wednesday 3rd May the London Eye will be transformed into one massive rotating yoga class. Yoga lessons will be held in all 31 capsules of the London Eye, led by professional instructors from Carpe Diem. Londoners can start the day with a stretch and a spin in a truly unique London event.
Limber up for the summer
Yoga is an ideal way to limber up for the summer and combined with a trip on the London Eye, fun times are guaranteed. Expert tutors will instruct classes of six in the pods, each of which will become a mini oasis of peace and calm. Participants are encouraged to take a relaxing break on the London Eye and partake in some pilates in the sky.
Yoga for charity
Proceeds from the London Eye yoga event will be donated to the West London Special Yoga Centre, which is devoted to helping children with special needs. Participants are asked to make a minimum donation of £10.00 which will go towards the construction of a new lift at the yoga centre in Queen’s Park.
Carpe Diem Yoga Week
The London Eye yoga classes are the first of a series of events being held throughout London for Carpe Diem Yoga Week. Classes take place on Wednesday 3rd May, beginning at 8am. For further information and to register to take part in the London Eye event
