Kicking off the biggest fashion event of the autumn, the London Fashion Week Moet Mirage takes place at Holland Park this September and celebrates the partnership of two truly fashionable icons. Moet and Chandon Champagne have sponsored London Fashion Week for ten years this year and are making a big slash with a sparkling installation of their very famous bottle.
A very special Moet Mirage has been created by artist Usman Haque to mark the anniversary and will see hundreds of Londoners flock to Holland Park to witness the London Fashion Week Moet Mirage as it lights up the sky. Made from thousands of balloons full of helium and LEDs, the Moet Mirage is a fantastic construction of light and air. Due to float like a plume of smoke over the park, the balloons will then form a cloud that illuminates two miles of London around the spectacle.
Floating in the darkened summer skies the installation created specially by Haque to capture the spirit of the classic Champagne label, the London Fashion Week Moet Mirage will expand as the balloons move around and create turbulence as the wind catches it like a sail. Once the mirage is airborne, the final spectacular show will light up London as the balloons burst in a golden spray of light.
Celebrating both the luxury of the Champagne and the glamour of the fashion shows, the London Fashion Week Moet Mirage is being held at Holland Park at the beginning of the September fashion week and is inviting people down to the park to enjoy the light show and indulge in a little late summer picnic. With Harvey Nichols having joined forces with Moet and Chandon to create a sumptuous picnic hamper, you can really go all out to enjoy the evening.
The special picnic contains a selection of indulgence goodies that will perfectly accompany the London Fashion Week Moet Mirage evening at Holland Park. Smoked scallops, a Harvey Nichols cheese platter, slices of carrot cake, Champagne truffles and a fabulous bottle of Moet Champagne encrusted with gold Swarovski crystals.
