Festival kick-off
The action kicks off on Wednesday 12th October with the opening gala of 360, starring a plethora of British talent, and the closing night gala on 27th October is equally exciting: The Deep Blue Sea, a film starring Rachel Weisz and directed by Terence Davies.
Premieres
As usual, the London Film Festival's biggest draw is its previews of some of the year's most eagerly-awaited releases, including 13 world premieres. This year’s UK premieres include films like Marc Evan's Hunky Dory. International premieres for 2011 include Joachim Trier's Oslo, August 31st and Bruno Dumont's Hors Satan. The much anticipated film We Need to Talk About Kevin, starring Tilda Swinton, will also have its first UK screening at the festival. New for 2011
There are also new films from some of the most exciting directors around, including: George Clooney (The Ides of March), Roland Emerich (Anonymous) and David Cronenberg (A Dangerous Method).
Family films
