Whats On
London Mela 2008 explodes onto Gunnersbury Park in August with a huge programme of live entertainment, traditional Asian culture and family activities. Thousands of Londoners will be present at what is expected to be one of the biggest free festivals of the year.

Celebrating Asian culture at London Mela
London Mela gives visitors the chance to celebrate Asian culture in London in a vibrant festival atmosphere. Gunnersbury Park will be bristling with activity on the day, with live music and dance, food stalls, fashion and special guests. Bobby and Nihal will be back once more, and there will be performances from Taz of Stereo Nation and Raghav from Canada. Other highlights include live street theatre and visual arts performances.

Music old and new
The London Mela 2008 musical line up includes a selection of traditional performances from a variety of Asian countries, alongside more modern music and the latest urban grooves. A series of specially commissioned pieces will also feature during the day, giving the crowds the chance to party in the sun.

Join the party at Gunnersbury Park
Organised by Ealing Council and joint hosted with Hounslow Council, the London Mela festival is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors. Last year’s Mela was attended by 55,000 and the 2008 event is bound to be just as big an occasion, with music dance, food and much, much more.
