A unique festival of established acts and the new rising stars of circus the London Mime festival is crammed with hilarious, moving, exciting and wonderful performances.

Inspired performances
Some brilliant circus inspired performers, acrobats from around the world, puppetry performances and animation will all feature at this years London Mime festival. With acts from all over the globe you can expect to see the best and the weirdest in mime and theatre of the body.

Exciting shows for all
There are shows just for adults, shows for family and kids and some shows that will break with the mime element of the festival and use song and spoken words. With such huge variety of performances available to Londoners, there is bound to be something to intrigue and fascinate everyone.

Big name venues
This year the festival takes place in some of the city's most prestigious arts venues, making the performances as accessable as possible. The Barbican, the Royal Opera House, the Southbank Centre, the Shunt Vaults and the ICA are all taking part in the London Mime festival with productions and performances of some of the best work from all over Europe.

Puppetry, animation, clowns and more
Mime fans won't want to miss out on the Ex Machina Athens show that sees the Greek company perform a gripping and engagingly spooky version of Oedipus. Their show is a retelling of the classical myth, with powerful performanaces from the six strong cast. Clowning lovers will be thrilled to see Tomas Kubinek as he bounds about the Purcell Room using magic, acrobatics and water burbling to great effect. Faulty Optic are also back again this year, with a simple animated show at the Shunt Vaults, full of their usual dark humour.

Other highlights of the London Mime festival include an amazing show courtesy of Buchinger's Boot Marionets who present the Armature of Absolute, a surreal performance by disturbing and surreal puppets; Akhe Engineering Theatre with a Faust inspired performance of futuristic fantasty and terror; and Les Apostrophes, who bring their juggling and music show to the Barbican.
