Ring in the New Year with a series of London parade concerts guaranteed to get you in the mood to celebrate. Performances range from traditional orchestras and choirs to jazz bands and even youth ensembles from the USA. These concert performances surround the New Years Day Parade, an extraordinary London event that will get the whole capital into a party mood.

Concerts for the season
These London parade concerts have become a New Years tradition that Londoners look forward to every year. Featuring all sorts of music, there’s no better way to get into the New Year’s spirit than by attending one of the concerts. The music is sure to have you reflecting on the past, thinking about the present and feeling hopeful for the future.

The lineup
Two performances kickstart the London Parade Concerts on 29th December 2010. St John's on Smith Square is holding a special Music for London gala concert, while the famous Cadogan Hall hosts performances by Wauwatosa East Wind Symphony, Downers Grove North High School Wind Ensemble, Mayfield High School Orchestra and Wauwatosa East Jazz ensemble.

Lunchtime concert in Trafalgar Square
As a welcome perk for those returning to work after the Christmas season, there's a free lunchtime concert at Trafalgar Square starting at 1pm, Thursday 30th December 2010. Keep an ear out for choral music, jazz and American style marching bands at the free concert to get you in the mood for the grand parade on New Years Day.

Money for London charities
Start 2011 off right with the New Years Day London parade concerts, because proceeds from these events will raise funds for various London charities. What better way to start the year out than by doing something that will benefit the whole community?
