London Through a Lens Exhibition

Iconic images of London and its people are on show at the London Through a Lens exhibition at Westfield shopping centre. Celebrating the rich history and diversity of the capital, this array of photographs from the highly acclaimed Getty Images will be on display at The Village, the boutique style area of Westfield.

London Through a Lens Exhibition
Covering several decades, the London Through a Lens exhibition at Westfield includes images of historic moments from the life of the capital. Blitz searchlights over St Paul's Cathedral on New Years Eve 1943 and Rotherhithe victims of the 1928 Thames flood are just some of the dramatic photographs on show.

Famous faces
On a lighter note, the London Through a Lens exhibition also includes quirky oddities, such as the spectacle of Daleks invading a London street in 1965. The Getty Images photographs also inlude many famous faces, such as Reggie and Ronnie Kray from their days as amateur boxers.

The London Through a Lens exhibition is at The Getty Images Gallery, Westfield, from Monday 15th December 2008 - Saturday 31st January 2009. Admission is free.
