Back again for another year the London United Film Festival brings you some cult classic hits and some unknown gems it is celebration of film. Bringing together a selection of filmmakers from diverse backgrounds and presenting an eclectic programme of features and documentaries, this is a festival that film fans can't afford to miss.
London United Film Festival
Having all started back in 2007 with the first festival, which took place in Tulsa, the London United Film Festival is now part of a international celebration of film that sees several different showcases take place in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York too. Mixing up a programme full of creative energy and talent, this is your chance to see a selection of funny, touching and dramatic films.
Premieres for all
Included in the London United Film Festival 2010 schedule are several premieres, meaning visitors to the festival will be among the first in the country to see some very special films. Accompanied by some award winning short films, you can see the likes of The Elephant in the Living Room, a documentary about raising exotic animals as pets, and The Drummond Will, a black comedy sees two brothers find out precisely how their father came by his enormous wealth.
Festival highlights
Many other feature films playing at the festival are sure to be crowd pleasers, making this a jam packed two day feast of cinematic fun. Catch The Rock n Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher, which sees the awkward son of a rock star deal with his father's suicide, I Do, I Don't, a documentary which follows the processes of love, marriage and religion, and a nostalgic look back at the pinball machine, in Special When Lit, all feature as part of the London United Film Festival 2010. The festival closes with a special 50th anniversary screening of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.
The London United Film Festival takes place from Friday 3rd - Saturday 4th December 2010 at Prince Charles Cinema. Tickets are £10.00 per film screening, a mini pass is £25.00 and an all access pass is £50.00.
