Zoo Lates London

Silent Disco at London Zoo

A great chance to see the animals in a relaxed atmosphere this summer, London Zoo Night lets you enjoy some great entertainment and get ready for the weekend.

Spend a night at the zoo
An unusual way to spend your Friday night, the London Zoo Night is a chance to sip on a cocktail by the penguin pool, catch all the live music and entertainment on offer, and be amazed by all the exotic inmates.

Animal atmosphere
London Zoo Night is a regular feature of the London Zoo summer calendar, giving visitors a very different experience of the attraction. With nocturnal creatures up and about and entertainment from the animals themselves, there is plenty to keep you interested.

Live demonstrations
In the Animals in Action show for example you can see the resident London Zoo animals as they go about flapping, flying, leaping and climbing. On London Zoo Night the animals will do what they do best in a late night special just for you.

Late night opening
The late night summer opening is also a time when you can explore the zoo just as if you were a normal visitor. If you are the kind of person who has always wanted to visit the zoo but can't seem to find the time during the day, then the London Zoo Night provides the ideal visiting hours for you. Take in the Gorilla Kingdom where London Zoo's delightful gorillas romp and play in their natural habitat, and check out the tropical bird walk-through and see the birds in their amazing home.

Creatures from around the world
Animal shows and keeper talks will also feature as part of this year's London Zoo Night. You can see the Meerkats and otters feeding, and hear all about their habitats; penguins, tapirs and African hunting dogs will also be on show. Kids are not left out of the equation as the Children's Zoo is open on the night for little ones to get closer to the rabbits and goats.

Rare species
The more adventurous animal fans will be thrilled to see the megabugs, as well as the okapi and the llama walk. To round off the evening you will get a chance to meet the tallest residents of London Zoo, the giraffes, before taking a look at the Rainforest Lookout for a talk.

London Zoo Night runs from 6.30pm - 10pm, Friday 7th August 2009. Please note that last entry into London Zoo will be at 8.30pm. Tickets cost £16.82 for adults and £13.67 for children: for more information and to purchase tickets, click on the link below.
