Lost in Camden

Lost in Camden

When

8pm, Saturday 19th July 2008

Where

The Monarch, The Enterprise and Proud, Camden

Bringing together the brilliance and subversive genius of Lost Vagueness and the Be at Proud crowd, Lost in Camden takes over three fantastic venues for one festival style night of booze, music, cabaret, and riotous fun.

With one wristband allowing you access to The Monarch, The Enterprise and Proud, Lost in Camden invites you in for a carnival of magic, with unusual entertainment for all.

Proud kicks off the fun of Lost in Camden with a 1950s style diner theme. Full of wonderous acts and monstrous musical performers, the atmosphere will be an opulent one, with electrifying entertainment and full on vaudeville style cabaret. Catch aerial burlesque from Dangerous Dolly, stage show cabaret from Pustra and Vile-een's Vaudeville, and electrically charged eccentricity from the Great Voltini and Nurse Electra. And there is also the chance to get all out with the fancy dress in the Lost Vagueness Changing Rooms, where the stylists will transform you into a decadent performer.

Busty burlesque beauty Miss Vicky Butterfly will be unfurling herself at The Monarch, where even more comedic capers will ensue with three vaudevillian performance artists taking up residence in the interactive suite. Lost in Camden then invites you to risk it all with a game of black jack on the Lost Luck Casino, before partying the rest of the night away to the special headlining bands. Don't forget to catch the high kicking action of the Can Can Boheme girls though before you move onto the last Lost venue.

Once enveloped in the realms of The Enterprise you will be transported into the Chrysalis cabaret, where pain and entertainment come together. Having pushed himself to the limits of physical endurance with animal traps, broken glass, screwdrivers and nails, you will be thrilled by his camp comedy and theatrical death defying entertainment. Less life threatening shows come from the likes of Des O'Connor, the comedy ukulele player, and the blues chanteuse Delores Miel, accompanied by the 1940s style pianist Miss Lily Farthing.

With loads of live music acts including The Lovers, Jarmean, International One, Pete Bennet and The Love Dogs, Royal Gala, Underground Railroad and the Fabulous Penetrators, surprise DJs and plenty of unusual and exotic cabaret performers, there is no reason for you not to get Lost in Camden this weekend.

Tickets for Lost in Camden are £13.00 in advance. Tickets will also be available on the door at slightly more. The event takes place at 8pm on Saturday 19th July 2008 at The Monarch, The Enterprise and Proud, Camden.
