I organised and of course attended my best friends 30th birthday party, at this fantastic lively restaurant, bar/club. We were told to ensure that all of our guest arrived early, preferably before 9pm (as it was a Saturday) to ensure that they wouldn't have to cue and I totally recommend this, as this amazingly lively place is popular! Some of us arrived for dinner at 7pm and were looked after from the moment we walked through the door. The staff were charming and friendly and the cocktails were delicious. The food was cooked to perfection and the deserts were to die for! After dinner we were moved to a fantastic area reserved for us (I had to book in advance) by the DJ booth, where we received fantastic waitress service with more amazing cocktails and some delicious snacks for the after dinner arrivals. The top floor soon turned into a lively dance floor with a great atmosphere, when the DJ kicked off at 10pm. We had an absolutely amazing night of dancing and girlie fun and the garden area, complete with bar, was a great place to cool off and meet people! Altogether it was an incredible night and has now become one of our favourite places to hang out in London!!

I recently arranged my friend's hen party here.

During the planning stage, the staff at Lost Society were extremely patient, and willing to go out of their way to accommodate our needs. On the night itself we were looked after very attentively, and the staff were kind and friendly.

I liked the decor, which was quirky and had a sense of humour about it - and definitely on the right side of tasteful! Also, the general vibe was great!

We all really enjoyed the food - the starters, the mains, and the desserts! (And even the cheese board got an excellent review from one of my friends!)

After the meal we went for a dance at the bar. We had to leave to catch the last train home, but I was having such a good time I wanted to stay longer. I intend to return!!

I have lived on Clapham High Street for some time now and have only just ventured down to Lost Society recently. I originally went for cocktails. I was served by a bartender wearing a tartan waist coat and interesting facial hair. After an engaging chat about the medicinal uses of alcohol he introduced me to a Chipotle Sour using homemade ingredients. Wow what an blood marvellous concoction. It seems the Bartenders really enjoy what they are doing and are well read. The bar got really busy from about 9pm but my friend in the Tartan continue to engage all the customers with great banter as he worked feverishly. I proceeded to wonder around the various rooms that is Lost Society. A waitress walked briskly passed and up into a restaurant above the bar. The smell was too enticing so I asked if i may get some dinner as a friend was joining me. The Chipotle Sour had awaken my hunger. She seemed to think they were fully booked but after speaking to the manager was able to squeeze me in a bit later - well I waited and it was worth it. I had the Teriyaki beef medallions and my friend had a most interesting Nettle soup, no stinging lips but very green and fresh. Followed by Pork Chop with Swiss chard and Tuna Panzanella salad. The service was spot on even though it was busy. The girl working the restaurant was up and down the stairs. What a result will defo be coming back. Well done and what a surprise.

I dined at Lost Society last Saturday for my friends birthday, there were 14 of us and we had the best time, we took advantage of the online pre-order system they offer, which meant that the night went smoothly and everyone got what they wanted. The staff were excellent and really attentive to our table, we couldn't fault it. We then went into the bar to dance the night away! The DJ was great, the bar staff were all very lovely to us, id definitely recommended and return!

I am writing this after a particularly bad experience at Lost Society. I have always liked it and was looking forward to going for a friends Birthday meal. When we arrived we were seated promptly but left for such a long time before our drinks orders were taken. Finally, we were given the food menu. When the starters arrived they forgot mine so I didn't eat until everyone had finished. This didn't bother me. Our main courses were not nice at all!! Two of our meals were so over-powered by garlic it masked the taste of the rest of the dish. They agreed to take these off the bill but were clearly offended. Then the waitress said we had to leave the table as they were expecting another party who had booked it. This was fine but it was ten past nine and the party were not due until half past, we said we were just going to finish our wine and then we would vacate the table. The 'general manager' swooped over to our table 'I have four problems here, you are a problem table'! The following conversation that ensued was quite frankly shocking. This manager should not be working in the service industry and certainly not with the public. He was offensive, rude and belligerent. I am very sad to write this review and disappointed that people like this are entrusted to run an establishment that I once really liked going to. We were welcomed next door at Artesian Wells were we were told this particular member of staff has a reputation for this. Well trained staff should have a knack for dealing with what he viewed 'problem' diners and manage to turn a situation round not make it worse.

Hi Natasha.

I have spoken with the General Manger regarding the night in question. Of course there are 2 sides to every coin, and things are generally never what they seem, it would seem that your night certainly did not go the way things normally go around here.

i propose a return visit, and see things done the way they are normally done around here. Murray the guy you spoke with on the night would love to look after you and show you the Lost Society experience.

Please do get in touch to arrange a date.

kindest Regards

James

I went to Lost Society for the first time last night, having lived 5 minutes for the last year and not made it until this point. I was very pleasantly surprised, the decor is amazing, such a nice layout and different from anywhere else i have been in Clapham. I arrived late and yes it was busy, especially on the dance floor, but what other decent place in Clapham wouldn't be the same! The bar staff that i had the pleasure of talking to were very polite and i managed to get to the upstairs bar straight away (maybe because it was late?). I can't wait to go back again!

I have been coming to this venue since it opened, it is by far the best place to go south of the river, there is no contest, the food is great, the cocktails are fabulous, who cares if you have to wait a little while they are made, its well worth it! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, yes they get busy on a Saturday night, but the vibe is amazing, always such a great up for it crowd! I love this place.
