Lovebox Warm Up Party at Cargo

This year’s Lovebox Weekender is just a few weeks away. To get you in the mood the Lovebox Warm Up Party at Cargo is offering a sneak peek of what you can expect from the festival with a free party. Yes, free. Ideal if you can’t afford Lovebox tickets this year.

Free Fridays at Cargo
The Lovebox Warm Up Party at Cargo is part of the Free Fridays events run by the popular East London club. The 12th June sees this special event taking over the regular Friday night free for all with a taste of what to expect at the popular Viccy Park festival. Best of all? Not only is the event totally free all night to everyone but you won’t have to worry about it raining. No wellies required.

The Line-Up
In order to get partygoers at the Lovebox Warm Up Party at Cargo in the mood, some of the DJs from the festival will be taking to the decks. Residents from Horse Meat Disco and Disco Bloodbath will perform alongside James and Giles from Secretsundaze. Additional acts include Camden newcomers Ou Est Le Swimming Pool and Young Fathers – the support act on the Simian Mobile Disco tour. There will even be a magician Spencer Wood.

Lovebox Weekender
Lovebox has gained status in recent years as one of London’s premier festivals, not bad going when it faces competition from larger events like Wireless, SW4 and Hard Rock Calling. With a line-up in 2009 that includes acts like Duran Duran, Groove Armada, N.E.R.D, Simian Mobile Disco, New York Dolls and Ladyhawke, it’s no surprise it’s grown in popularity and is now one of London’s best loved festivals. It even won the award for the UK’s best medium sized festival. The Lovebox Warm Up Party at Cargo hopes to get everyone in the mood for one of the biggest events on East London’s calendar.

Lovebox Warm Up Party at Cargo takes place from 6pm-3am at Cargo on Friday 12th June. Entry is free all night.
