Promising to showcase her latest songwriting efforts as well as personal rearrangements of older songs, the concert by Marianne Faithfull at the Royal Festival Hall will include many songs from Faithfull's latest album, Easy Come Easy Go. The album contains new interpretations of well loved songs such as Billie Holiday's Solitude, Bessie Smith's Easy Come Easy Go Blues, and Dolly Parton's Down from Dover. The one off gig at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall should draw in not only die hard faithfull fans, but also lovers of jazz and blues who enjoy listening to fresh new takes on the classes.
