There are 15 different products in the 1p Christmas Penny Bazaar, with all proceeds going towards local charities.

2009 marks the 125th birthday of M&S, and to celebrate over 300 stores across the UK took part in the May Marks and Spencer Penny Bazaar. London stores such as the flagship shop on Oxford Street will again be joining in with all the fun by harking back to 1884 when M&S started life as a Penny Bazaar, with a second event taking place in November 2009. Sir Stuart Rose will be on hand at the flagship Marble Arch store on Oxford Street to open the sale at 9am.

Sale highlights
M&S customers can choose up to five items from the Penny Bazaar to buy. Highlights from the sale include stylish tea towels, Christmas chocolates and Yule logs, ties, mugs, knickers and card games.

The Marks and Spencer Penny Bazaar London event takes place in the flagship store on Oxford Street as well as shops across the city. The sale starts at 9am, Friday 13th November 2009, and lasts until stocks run out.
