Marlene Dietrich Tribute at Conway Hall

Join Terry Sanderson at the Marlene Dietrich tribute at Conway Hall for an affectionate tribute to gay icon and celebrated star of the silver screen.

Tribute show
Taking place as part of LGBT History Month, the Marlene Dietrich tribute at Conway Hall explores the star's long and celebrated film career, with clips from some of her campest films as well as rare archive material. There's also an exploration of her work as an anti-Nazi campaigner during the Second World War, during which she performed for Allied troops and helped to raise war bonds.

Special screening
Also taking place as part of the Marlene Dietrich tribute at Conway Hall is a special screening of the star's 1963 one-woman show, recorded in Sweden. See Dietrich on the big screen once more and marvel at her performance, which was accompanied by Burt Bacharach and his orchestra.

Gay icon
Perhaps most widely known for her femme fatale image and her role as Lola-Lola in The Blue Angel (which includes her signature song Falling in Love Again), Marlene Dietrich was bisexual and was a leading figure of the 1920s Berlin gay scene. Head to the Marlene Dietrich tribute at Conway Hall during LGBT History Month and learn more about the star's complex personality and colourful life.
